In Enies Lobby Chopper had to fight kabuki guy with Franky and had the unveiling of Monster Point. There was less one on ones to accommodate the amount of characters, a lot of the straw-hats didn’t really shine either. You can see how things can get really diluted here, with viewpoints having to change more often and elongating the arc more and more. in Wano there was 5 Toppi Roppo, 2 All-Stars, 2 extra supernovas, Orochi and Kanjuro, Kaido himself and Big Mom and like 4 of her lieutenants on top of all that vs 10 Straw-Hats, 9 Red Scabbards, 3 Supernovas, Yamato, Carrot, and Marco. There were 8 members of CP9 vs 8 Straw-Hats. Every straw-hat got to show off and face someone (except Robin, but y’know the whole arc was kinda about her) There was a ton of unique techniques on display, damage felt real, characters were pushed to their limit harder than ever before and a long time after. Same with stuff like the fights with the fox and killer and whatnot being like the encouters with Paulie or Franky.īut even with that, in Enies Lobby proper it very quickly turned into a series of one on ones with a few complications here and there. I’ll be generous and not count the random beast dickheads like Holdem or whatever, they could be seen as equivalent to the train CP agents or whatever. They were the only villains of that arc so they got a lot of focus and more intimate and detailed fights.
